COCOA-ROCKLEDGE GARDEN CLUB - FEBRUARY 8, 2012 MEETING/LUNCHEON

The February 8th meeting of the Cocoa-Rockledge Garden Club had approximately 40 members attending.  The program was Native Plants for a Healthy Environment.  Megan's proram was very imformative and well received by all in attendance.  Slides were shown of the many various native plants.  She urged all of us to think native, plant native for the birds and butterflies and to remember that native plants are our natural heritage and can be used so nicely in our own landscaping.  It was a wonderful program and we all were made more aware of the Native Plants we have in our area and hopefully all will plant a few in our gardens.
The hostesses for the month were: Lillian Bourque, Debbie Sadler, Shirley Perez, Pat Bankhead, Giny Lambkin-Height & Glaudia Lambkin, they did a super job in decorating the club house.
We have a new treasure that's what we are calling our new members, Shirl Phillips installed 1 new treasure at our Febraury meeting, Lynda Manifold. Lynda was welcomed into the Club with a big round of applause, then given a job of helping with the raffle that was in the process.
